We’ve just recieved a new CD from one of our favorites, Aaron Brask. In “The Guaraldi Sessions” Aaron explores the music of Hollywood legend Vince Guaraldi and gives it his own spin, featuring his signature overdubbing and an expanded ensemble. Check it out.
Hi. Just a few corrections to your “Guaraldi sessions” listing. First, I believe the orchestra Aaron is a member of is in fact known as the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra (JSO). Also, Guaraldi was a Bay-area musician whose first claim to fame was the instrumental “Cast Your Fate to the Wind” which became a hit on the pop charts and eventually led Guaraldi to being tapped by ‘Charlie Brown’ special producer Lee Mendelsohn to write music for a Charles Schulz documentary which later led to VG scoring a string of CBS network specials starting in 1965 with “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”
